Muscat, As many as 1454 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) were registered today in Oman, in addition to 6 new Covid-19-related death cases.

This brings the total number of positive Covid-19 cases to 190,270 in the Sultanate.

The total number of Covid-19-related death cases reached 1983, the Ministry of Health said.

The Ministry also pointed out that 1014 new cases have recovered, bringing the total number to 169,784 recoveries.

The Ministry also pointed out that 104 cases were hospitalized over the past 24 hours, adding that the total number of current hospitalized Covid-19-infected patients stands at 815, of them 274 are in intensive care units (ICUs).

The Ministry of Health continues the vaccination of target segments of society against coronavirus as part of the National Campaign for Immunisation Against COVID-19 (First Stage) using (PfizerbioNTech and Oxford-AstraZeneca). The number of people vaccinated as of yesterday stood at 253,057.
