15th Asian Handball Club Championship 2012 Begins Friday

Doha, October 31 (QNA) – The 15th Asian Handball Club Championship 2012 will begin in Doha on Friday, November 02, to conclude on November 15.
The championship will feature the participation of 13 Asian clubs, they are distributed into three groups. Qatar’s representative, Al-Jaish SC is pooled in group A beside Al-Ahli (UAE), Kuwait SC of Kuwait and Al-Sadd of Lebanon.
Qatar’s second representative, Al-Rayyan SC is distributed in group B alongside Al-Jazeerah (UAE) , Al-Noor (KSA), Muscat of Oman, as group C includes defending champions, Mudhar (KSA), Thamen Al-Hejaj (Iran) , Al-Arabi (Kuwait), Al-Ahli (Bahrain) and Jiangsu of China.
Thamen Al-Hejaj of Iran arrived in Doha on Tuesday while Kuwait of Kuwait and Mudhar of Saudi Arabia will arrive in Doha on Wednesday. On the other hand, Dr. Thani Al-Kuwari, secretary General of Al-Jaish Sports Club will hold a press conference on Wednesday to brief media on the latest arrangements for the event.
The Asian Handball Club League Championship is the official competition for men’s handball clubs of Asia, and takes place every year. In addition to crowning the Asian champions, the tournament also serves as a qualifying tournament for the Super Globe.  (QNA)
