Muscat, As many as 1959 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) were registered today in the Sultanate, in addition to 40 new Covid-19-related death cases.

This brings the total number of positive Covid-19 cases to 270,504 in the Sultanate.

The total number of Covid-19-related death cases reached 3140, the Ministry of Health said.

The Ministry added that 2127 new cases have recovered, bringing the total number to 236,988 recoveries.

The Ministry also pointed out that 163 cases were hospitalized over the past 24 hours, as the total number of current hospitalized Covid-19-infected patients stands at 1591 of them 530 are in intensive care units (ICUs).
