214,192 Vaccinated Against Covid-19 in the Sultanate

Muscat, As many as 214,192 people in the Sultanate have been vaccinated with the first dose of the two Covid-19 vaccines PfizerbioNTech and Oxford-AstraZeneca during the period from 27 December 2020 till 15 May 2021.

According to the statistics issued by the Ministry of Health, the total vaccinated people in the Sultanate’s governorates for the target segment (people aged 60 and above) stood at 78,098, constituting 72% of the target segment. The total number of vaccinated healthcare workers reached 35,184, constituting a 91% coverage while other segments reached 100,910 people.

The statistics showed that the Governorate of Muscat registered the highest percentage of vaccinations, where the total vaccinated stood at 21,731 constituting 89% of the target segment, followed by the Governorate of North Al Batinah with 12,062 comprising 62% and the Governorate of A’Dakhiliyah with 11,719 constituting 87%.
