Muscat, As many as 2788 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) were registered in the Sultanate during the period from Tuesday 11 May till Saturday 15 May, in addition to 45 new Covid-19-related death cases.

This brings the total number of positive Covid-19 cases to 205,501 in the Sultanate.

The total number of Covid-19-related death cases reached 2193, the Ministry of Health said.

The Ministry added that 3951 new cases have recovered during the aforesaid period, bringing the total number to 190,342 recoveries.

The Ministry also pointed out that 63 cases were hospitalized over the past 24 hours, adding that the total number of current hospitalized Covid-19-infected patients stands at 722, of them 255 are in intensive care units (ICUs).
