Muscat,As many as 5517 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) were registered in the Sultanate during the past 3 days, in addition to 119 new Covid-19-related death cases.

This brings the total number of positive Covid-19 cases to 262,059 in the Sultanate.

The total number of Covid-19-related death cases reached 2967, the Ministry of Health said.

The Ministry added that 5921 new cases have recovered, bringing the total number to 229,998 recoveries.

The Ministry also pointed out that 214 cases were hospitalized over the past 24 hours, as the total number of current hospitalized Covid-19-infected patients stands at 1635 of them 489 are in intensive care units (ICUs).
