787 More Catch Covid-19 in Oman: Health Ministry

Muscat, As many as 787 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) were registered in Oman today, in addition to 18 new Covid-19-

related death cases.

This brings the total number of positive Covid-19 cases to 202,137 in the Sultanate.

The total number of Covid-19-related death cases reached 2138, the Ministry of Health said.

The Ministry also pointed out that 960 new cases have recovered, bringing the total number to 185,607 recoveries.

The Ministry also pointed out that 96 cases were hospitalized over the past 24 hours, adding that the total number of current hospitalized Covid-19-infected patients stands at 732, of them 263 are in intensive care units (ICUs).

The Ministry of Health continues vaccinating the targeted categories in the first phase of the national campaign against COVID-19 with PfizerbioNTech and Oxford-AstraZeneca.

On the other hand, the Ministry announced today that the second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine will be postponed until next June as the available vaccines will be given to immunize the 12th grade students before the final exams date.
