904 More Catch Covid-19 in Oman: Health Ministry

Muscat, As many as 904 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) were registered today in the Sultanate, in addition to 14 new Covid-19-related death cases.

This brings the total number of positive Covid-19 cases to 289,042 in the Sultanate.

The total number of Covid-19-related death cases reached 3498, the Ministry of Health said.

The Ministry also pointed out that 1578 new cases have recovered, bringing the total number to 263,752 recoveries.

The Ministry also pointed out that 128 cases were hospitalized over the past 24 hours, as the total number of current hospitalized Covid-19-infected patients stands at 1215 of them 444 are in intensive care units (ICUs).

The ministry pointed out that it will resume the National Strategy for Immunization against Covid-19 after the holiday of Eid Al Adha on Sunday 25 July. It also extends its thanks to the target segments for their great turnout to get the vaccine, which reflects their social awareness on the importance of vaccinating against Covid-19.

The immunization centres in all the governorates of the Sultanate today saw a great turnout of people targeted for the vaccine.
