Capital Governor, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa, chaired the last meeting of the Coordination Council in its third session, in the presence of members representing the security and service authorities.
He stressed the keenness of the governorate on assessing the citizens’ needs and meeting their aspirations in cooperation and coordination with the concerned authorities
The Capital Governor praised the high level of cooperation between the government entities, both service and security, as a result of the outputs of the Coordination Council, and urged them to implement the recommendations issued by periodic meetings held by the governorate.
The Council reviewed a presentation by Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA)’s President Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa on the heritage houses project, while an engineer reviewed the Authority’s experience in developing heritage houses and the project’s applicability and in the Capital Governorate and its feasibility.
The Council discussed the priorities of Ma’ameer village, including the development of road network, steady progress in afforestation and management of infrastructure complying with the environmental laws. The Council discussed that recommendations be submitted to the concerned authorities.
The Coordination Council Secretary presented the plan to develop coordination and follow-up mechanisms during the meeting. Several points were included in the plan, most notably the formation of subcommittees to study the people’s needs, exchange information, and launch specific initiatives.
