International special tournament kicks off in Paris

The World Para Athletics Championship (Paris 2023) kicked off on Saturday with participation of 1,200 athletes from 107 countries including the State of Kuwait.

The Kuwaiti team is headed by Nasser Al-Ajmi and comprises seven players of various games.

Al-Ajmi said in a statement to KUNA that the team had recently undergone training in Turkey in preparation for the tournament in Paris.

The games kicked off earlier today at Charlety stadium involve the Kuwaiti champions Faisal Al-Rajhi and Abdullah Al-Enezi (wheel-chair racing), Yasser Al-Mislem, Faisal Srour, Abdullah Al-Saleh, Hamad Hajji and Nasser Faraj (shot put and discus throw).
