A suicide bomber blew himself up inside a military academy in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu, leaving scores of people either dead or wounded, Somali state media reported on Tuesday.
Reports on the number of casualties varied but the death toll from the blast appears to have crossed the dozen mark, while scores of soldiers were injured.
The blast, claimed by Somalia’s Al-Shabab insurgent group, is the most severe attack to have taken place in months, according to state media.
