Bahrain Hajj Mission holds first preparatory meeting

Shaikh Adnan bin Abdulla Al Qattan, Chairman of the Bahrain Hajj Mission, has praised His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s unlimited support for the kingdom’s Hajj mission, citing the royal constant directives to ensure easy procedures and comfort for Bahraini pilgrims, commending the unwavering follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He asserted that based on the directives of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to begin the necessary arrangements for the 1445 H Hajj season in September to ensure they are in line with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s arrangements, the Bahrain Hajj Mission held its first preparatory meeting with the heads and representatives of Bahrain Hajj campaigns.

Chairing the first meeting, held at the Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Centre, Al Qattan underlined the importance of cooperation and integration between the Bahrain Hajj Mission and Hajj campaigns in order to improve the quality of the services delivered to Bahraini pilgrims.

He urged all Hajj campaigns to adhere to the time plan specified Saudi Arabia, and to undertake all required procedures for the upcoming season in accordance with the instructions issued by it, including opening the registration for pilgrimage, starting today, Sunday, until February 20, 2024.

He called on campaigns to begin receiving citizens and residents wishing to perform Hajj rituals for this year, register their data in the electronic system available through the National Portal of the Information and e-Government Authority.

He pointed out that the High Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs is currently reviewing the regulations in force with the aim of developing work mechanisms, especially with regard to the registration mechanism, competitiveness standards, and the minimum number of registered pilgrims, which it is hoped will be implemented in the 1446 AH Hajj season.

Al Qattan announced that owners of Hajj campaigns may submit their remarks, inquiries or proposals no lar than October 8, based on the directives of the High Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs.

Khalid Jassim Al-Malood, Secretary-General of the Bahrain Hajj Mission reviewed the provisions of the preliminary arrangements document issued by Saudi Arabia. He also touched on the applicable work mechanism related to the implementation of basic equipment in the areas of Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina.
