Egyptian, Turkish leaders reject displacement of Gazans

CAIRO, – Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reaffirmed their countries’ rejection of the Israeli attempts to evict Palestinians in the Gaza Strip from their land.

This came in a phone call initiated by the Turkish President on Friday, according to the Egyptian Presidency. The two leaders also stressed the necessity of sustaining the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. They emphasized the importance of the solidarity of the international community to permanently end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict based on the two-state solution.

They reviewed the coordination efforts regarding developments in the Gaza Strip and the ongoing efforts to mobilize the international community towards a unified position to advance calm and de-escalation.

The Turkish president expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s role in coordinating humanitarian efforts and promoting the path of peace.
