Workshop Held to Highlight Survey on Satisfaction with Government Services

Muscat: The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) today organized an introductory workshop as part of ongoing preparations for implementing a public opinion survey (the 3rd of its kind) for measuring satisfaction with government services.

The workshop saw the participation of 50 government departments tasked with providing services to citizens, including services offered by Governors’ offices.

The participants reviewed major outcomes of the second public opinion survey on satisfaction with government services. The 6-month survey was conducted by the NCSI last year.

The workshop elaborated on the survey’s questionnaire and methods of analysing results.

It is worth noting that the NCSI’s Public Opinion Measurement Department carries out opinion polls using an electronic management and operation system. The electronic questionnaire system is designed to conduct telephonic interviews, collect data quickly and highly efficiently and draft daily progress reports. This allows for conducting more
than one opinion poll simultaneously.
