Muscat: Mwasalat, one of the Asyad Group companies, inaugurated its first land trip via an intercity bus service from the Governorate of Muscat to the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The 203-kilometre route (Muscat – Sharjah) passes through the Wilayat of Shinas in the Governorate of North Al Batinah. Two daily trips to be operated – initially – back and forth. The trip started from a transportation station in Al Athaiba, Muscat Governorate.
Mwasalat explained that the trips will be experimental during the first week from the start of the launch of the service. This route will enhance integration with other transportation routes in the Sultanate of Oman, which provides access to several destinations in both countries, thus being consistent with Mwasalat’s ambitious goals to become a regional transport operator by applying global standards.
