Salalah: To consolidate the concept of partnership between the government and private sectors, Dhofar Municipality allocated business works worth about RO 4 million to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) during 2023.
The Municipality’s support has been an ongoing process aimed at boosting the role of SMEs in activating the tourism sector and providing fresh opportunities for jobseekers who wish to operate public sites and parks during tourism seasons, including Al Sarb (Fall or harvest season) and the Winter Season.
As many as 353 projects were made available during the tourism seasons. They provided temporary employment opportunities for SMEs and benefit self-employed families in the governorate.
