A new cool destination!

Marking a prominent milestone in the tourism and aqua amusement infrastructure, Oman’s first complete water theme park will officially be opened the first week of September, according to the sources.

The state-of-the-art Wadina Water Park is located in Cultural Capital of the Sultanate, Nizwa. It is spread across 6,000 square metres and the trial runs have been taking place inviting the public to visit the premises and experience the abundant recreational facilities suiting both children and adults alike.

Ministry of Defence Pension Fund is the promoter of the RO 1.7 million worth project. The water park is designed, developed and operated by Amjaad Holding Group while Liwan Investment is the operator of this water park.

The park serves as the perfect place for a fun-filled experience for the entire family to slide, splash, relax, and enjoy all at one destination. From enjoying a laid-back afternoon or a blast of excitement, it’s a place that has something in store for thrill-seekers and chill-seekers alike.

“We are entering the market at the right time when the lockdown is lifted and life is getting back to normalcy and people venture out after being inside their homes for a long time” Farouk Arevalo, park manager,

said.

He said that special events for team building or staff motivational camps can be conducted on any given day as the park provides just the right space for the events to enjoy one’s special occasions and create memories with your loved and near ones.

A plethora of children’s activities is in store for the visitors which includes a fun playground and water activities for the kids like: lazy river, speed slide, bounce back, super bowl and boomerang. It gives guests the joy of competition as they slide the lanes in an attempt to beat one another to the bottom.

“We were fortunate to be invited to the test opening of the Wadina Water Park. Both the kids and adults in our group had such a good time. We need more such facilities,” said Herbert Fernandez, a photojournalist.

The park is located next to a three-star international hotel, a multi-purpose hall, an office building and a residential building within an integrated development bearing the “Nizwa Square” brand.
