Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Visits Mazoon Dairy Company

Al Sinayana, Dr. Fuad bin Jaafar al- Sagwani, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, said that Mazoon Dairy Company is a major economic force that strengthens the food sector locally and regionally and contributes to the self-sufficiency of the dairy products in the Sultanate in line with the government agenda in this field.

This came during a visit to the site of the company’s facilities accompanied by Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser al- Bakri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries for Agriculture and members of the Board of Directors of the Omani Food Investment Company, where he inspected a number of facilities.

Dr. Rashid bin Salim al- Masrouri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mazoon Dairy Company said. ” Mazoon Dairy Company will seek to increase production capacity to more than 900 million liters per year by 2040. The company will seek to attract and employ the best talent and maximize opportunities for local partnerships and business opportunities with small and medium enterprises. Our strategic goal is to produce around 202 million liters by 2026, and this will rise to 985 million liters by 2040, significantly reducing imports that reached 69% in 2014 to 13% in 2026.”
