Baghdad The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, affirmed the Parliament’s keenness to strengthen relations with the United States.

Al-Mandalawi’s office said in a statement that the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives discussed with the American Ambassador in Baghdad, “Alina Romanowski” during his meeting with her today, the importance of the new government being strong and responsive to the aspirations of the Iraqi people, and seeking balanced relations at the regional and international levels, and supportive of the country’s full stability and that the House of Representatives exercise its legislative and oversight role in following up the implementation of its duties within the government curriculum.

Al-Mandalawi stressed the Parliament’s keenness to strengthen relations with the United States of America in the economic, political and cultural fields.
