Arab Media Forum Honors ONA Director General

Kuwait City, The 16th Arab Media Forum in Kuwait honored Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak al-Araimi, Director General and Editor-in-Chief of Oman News Agency, Chairman of the Omani Journalists Association, in addition to a number of media, writers and artists, at Sheikh Jabir Cultural Centre under the auspices of Mohammed al-Jabri, Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs.

The honoring comes in recognition of their efforts, creativity and excellence in serving the media, cultural and literary fields, their prominent role and the influential work in the Arab media industry and its development.

Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak al-Araimi is a media professional and researcher in political sciences. He has PhD in political sciences. He has been working for Oman News Agency since 1993. In addition to being a writer and political analyst, he participated in regional and international conferences. He is interested in the Gulf region, particularly the Sultanate. He has published a number of books. He is currently the Director General and Editor-in-Chief of Oman News Agency and Chairman of the Omani Journalists Association, deputy chairman of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA). He served as chairman of the Omani Society for Writers and Literates and Assistant Secretary General of the Arab Writers Union.
