ASMED Announces Terms for Application to Land Usufruct System

Muscat, The Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED) has unveiled terms and conditions for those who wish to register to the land usufruct ownership system. The announcement is a step forward prior to publication of the advertisement (for SMEs) to contest opportunities made available via the land usufruct system.

The advertisement points to the availability of plans (for use of land by usufruct) in five governorates, as follows:

In A’Dakhiliyah Governorate (Khumaila in the Wilayat of Bahla, Al Dasr industrial plan in the Wilayat of Samayil); in A’Dhahirah Governorate (the industrial estate’s plan in the Wilayat of Yanqul, and Al Busaili plan in the Wilayat of Dhank).

In North Al Batinah: Al Hamliyyah plan in the Wilayat of Shinas, the industrial estate’s plan in the Wilayat of Liwa, the industrial estate’s plan in the Wilayat of Saham and Al Sarhat plant in the Wilayat of Al Khabourah.

In the Governorate of Al Wusta: One land plan in the Wilayat of Mahout (Haj plan).

In the Governorate of North A’Sharqiyah: one land plan in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi.

ASMED drafted incentives to encourage entrepreneurs, among them—nominal fees (suitable for SMEs), a grace period for the finalization of the project within a specific work plan and giving priority to the beneficiaries in the fields of funding, marketing and training.
