London-based Bahrain Ambassador in Lisbon Shaikh Faqwaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to President of the Republic of Portugal Dr. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.

This came as Shaikh Fawaz presented his credentials to President de Sousa as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Portugal residing in London,

President de Sousa also extended greetings to HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince Prince and Prime, welcoming the newly-appointed ambassador.

He stressed his country’s keenness on expanding joint political, economic, security and developmental ties to serve common interest, wishing the ambassador success in his diplomatic duties.

Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed also affirmed Bahrain’s keenness on reinforcing joint ties, which would further bilateral relations across all fields of common interest.

The ambassador hosted a reception party which was attended by the InterParliamentary Union (IPU) President, in addition to Portuges Mps, senior Foreign Ministry’s officials, GCC, Arab and foreign diplomats
