Bahrain attends pan-Arab human rights meeting

The Kingdom of Bahrain attended the 52nd session of the Arab Human Rights Standing Committee, which was held at the Arab League headquarters in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

A delegation led by the Chief of Human Rights Department at the Foreign Minister Ambassador Dr. Arwa Hasan Al Sayyed attended the pan-Arab meeting, which focused on key issues to the protection of human rights.

The committee discussed the Israel assaults and racist practices in the occupied Arab territories, in addition to the Arab human rights charter, the Arab declaration on combating all forms of violence against women and the protection of the marriage institution and cultural diversity.

The delegations also discussed the impact of climatic changes on human rights, the rejection of hatred, enmity and discrimination on the basis of religion and belief, the promotion of Arab cooperation and the strengthening of expertise in the field of combating trafficking in persons.
