Bahrain, Japan exchange diplomatic-economic notes

Ambassador Fatima Al Dhaen, Chief of the Asian and Pacific Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with Masayuki MIYAMOTO, Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain.

Shaikh Feras bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Director of International Relations at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed topics of common interest and means to advance bilateral relations.

The two sides exchanged diplomatic notes regarding completing the necessary legal procedures for the entry into force of the Investment Protection and Promotion Agreement between Bahrain and Japan, as part of their efforts to promote relations in various fields, especially economic and investment sectors.

The agreement is aimed at providing an ideal investment environment to promote investment activity by investors from both countries and contribute to attracting more investments and improve the competitiveness of the national economy.
