Bank of Palestine concludes the second phase of its humanitarian interventions during Ramadan and Eid


About 25,000 people directly benefited from it in Gaza and the West Bank.

Ramallah – Together – The Bank of Palestine completed the implementation of the second phase of its humanitarian and relief interventions that it launched since the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan. This phase included a group of interventions that were implemented during the blessed month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, and benefited from them. More than 25,000 people directly in Gaza and the West Bank as part of the ongoing relief bridge that the Bank of Palestine Group continues in partnership with a number of local and international institutions.

The new interventions that the Bank of Palestine contributed to implementing in the Gaza Strip in partnership with Give Palestine included supporting a hospice in the northern Gaza Strip to provide 5,000 meals, contributing to supporting food parcels in the northern Gaza Strip in partnership with the Welfare Association and Give Palestine, and distributing gifts and shoes to children
on Eid. In partnership with the Nafs Association for Empowerment in the southern Gaza Strip, and distributing health packages to mothers and their children in partnership with the Juzoor Foundation for Health and Social Development in the northern Gaza Strip, in addition to supporting an educational tent for children in partnership with the Earth Center for Research and Studies in Deir al-Balah.

The Bank’s contributions in the West Bank governorates also included distributing food parcels in the city of Bethlehem in partnership with the Arab Women’s Union, and distributing shopping coupons to needy families in the Jerusalem and Salfit governorates in partnership with the Jerusalem Center for Women.

The Bank of Palestine indicated that these contributions fall under the umbrella of its relief and humanitarian program, which it implements with a number of local and international partners, in the context of assuming its social, humanitarian and national responsibility towards our people, to contribute to stren
gthening the steadfastness of our people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank alike, and to meet their needs to confront… The dire living conditions resulting from the war and alleviating the burden of their suffering.

It is noteworthy that the Bank of Palestine contributed to providing 1,000,000 meals in the Gaza Strip for the benefit of thousands of affected and displaced people, in addition to distributing food parcels in the West Bank at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, as part of the campaign it launched under the slogan ‘We are all for each other… a good Ramadan with hope that we will find,’ as a continuation of the relief bridge. The humanitarian initiative established by the Bank of Palestine Group to provide relief to our affected people and displaced families since the beginning of the war. The continuous humanitarian support included thousands of hot meals, food parcels, mineral water bottles and health parcels for thousands of displaced people, in addition to providing urgent winter
supplies for the benefit of families and children. Urgent financial aid was also provided to Gaza Strip patients in hospitals in the West Bank, Jerusalem and Jordan, and entertainment activities were implemented. And psychological support for women and children in shelter centers, as the number of Bank of Palestine Group interventions so far has reached approximately 28 humanitarian and development interventions with a total value exceeding 2.5 million US dollars.
