Barcelona Run Riot and Hit Real Valladolid for Seven

Barcelona were insatiable in front of goal as they sent Real Valladolid packing from Catalonia having suffered a 7-0 humiliation at the hands of Raphinha, Dani Olmo and company.

Raphinha bagged a hat-trick for himself, while new signing Dani Olmo was again on target for the Catalans as well, alongside Robert Lewandowski, Jules Kounde, and Ferran Torres.

It took 20 minutes for the hosts to find the breakthrough on Matchday 4, with Raphinha getting in behind the visitors’ backline and excellently taking down a ball over the top on his chest. He then poked into the bottom corner with the outside of his foot, the Spanish MARCA newspaper reported.

Lewandowski made it two just three minutes later, again with a simple ball over the top putting him in. He needed just one touch before finishing his fourth goal of the campaign.

It took 20 more minutes for the third. A corner fell in the box for Kounde and he, at full stretch, found the net via the help of the post.

After the hour mark, Raphinha turned in his secon
d and Barcelona’s fourth in scrappy style after Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal had failed to find the opening. Yamal then assisted again moments later for the Brazilian’s hat-trick.

Their sixth came via Olmo in the 82nd minute after some fine footwork and the icing on the cake was delivered in the 85th through Ferran.

The win leaves Barcelona on a 100% record with four wins from four, and they are top of the Spanish LaLiga EA Sports table, of course.
