Cabinet reviews combat against infringement on state property


KUWAIT, The Kuwaiti cabinet was apprised of the legal measures being adopted against a private company that fraudulently used a plot of land amounting in area to two million sq. m.

The cabinet meeting, held at Bayan Palace on Tuesday under the chairmanship of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, recalled the bitter memory of the brutal Iraqi invasion of Kuwait on August 2, 1990, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shereeda Abdullah Al-Mousherji said following the meeting.

Ahead of the 34th anniversary of that tragedy, which falls on Friday, the cabinet members remembered the late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the late Father Amir Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the late Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabh for the valiant efforts to liberate Kuwait.

The cabinet recalled, with great pride, the sacrifices made by the Kuwaiti people in their struggle again
st the brutal invasion and paid homage to the martyrs of Kuwait who sacrificed themselves for the dignity of the homeland, Al-Mousherji noted.

The cabinet renewed gratitude to the friendly countries for their contributions to the liberation of Kuwait and prayed for Allah, the Almighty, to preserve the security and stability of the country under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
