Muscat, The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) took part today in the 77th meeting of the GCC Committee of Governors of Monetary Institutions and Central Banks.

The CBO was represented during the virtual meeting by Tahir Salim Al Amri, CBO Executive President.

The meeting discussed the updates of signing the agreement of linking payment systems between GCC countries. It also reviewed on the monetary and financial developments.

The meeting also touched on topics related to supervising and auditing the banking system in the GCC. It also covered the developments of combating money laundering, as well as the financing of terrorism and cybersecurity in the financial sector.
