Manama, Ambassador Nancy Abdullah Jamal, Chief of Strategic Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Executive Committee Member of the Terrorist Financing Targeting Center held a meeting with Brian Nelson, US Department of the Treasury’s Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence.
The meeting discussed the latest developments of the political, security and humanitarian repercussions in the region and their impact on international efforts to combat terrorism and it’s financing.
The ambassador affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to keeping up with international politics and security, including the establishment of national and regional networks to combat international terrorism financing by filling the gaps in the global financial system caused by the development of an internationally illegitimate cyberspace.
She emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to establishing bilateral and multilateral frameworks aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence with its strategic partners and allies.
The ambassador praised the historic Bahrain-US relations in various sectors in accordance with the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement signed on September 14.
