A conference was held here today to explore opportunities in the fisheries sector in the Sultanate of Oman and the French Republic.
The conference, organized by Oman Arab Bank (OAB) in cooperation with the Omani-French Friendship Association, reviewed means of boosting economic cooperation between Oman and France.
The event also highlighted prominent investment opportunities in the multi-purpose Fishing Port in Duqm. It was held under the patronage of Eng. Yaqoub Khalfan Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.
Moreover, the event was participated by government officials from both countries, in addition to representatives of various Omani and French companies operating in the fields of fisheries, food and agricultural industries and ship building and repairing.
