A coordination meeting that includes the Judiciary Administrative Affairs Council, the Public Prosecution and the Royal Oman Police (ROP) was held in the Supreme Judicial Council building on drug issues headed by Sheikh Dr. Is’haq bin Ahmed al- Busaidi, Chairman of the Supreme Court, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, and Chairman of the Administrative Affairs Council for Judiciary.
The meeting was attended by the Attorney General, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations, the Secretary General of the Administrative Affairs Council of the Judiciary, the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court, Director of Criminal Department at the Supreme Court, a number of Supreme Court Judges, Courts of Appeal and Courts of First Instance, in addition to a number of the members of the Public Prosecution, ROP represented by the Directorate General of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances.
During the meeting, they familiarized themselves with the exhibition on drug control.
This meeting comes within the framework of cooperation between the Administrative Affairs Council of the Judiciary, Public Prosecution and the ROP in dealing with drug issues in order to ensure the rapid handling of these issues, thus contributing to the enhancement of security and social stability.
