Covid-19 Vaccination of SQU Students, Staff Members from Tomorrow

Muscat, A two-month campaign to vaccinate students and staff members of Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) against coronavirus (Covid-19) will kicks off tomorrow “Monday” at the SQU Cultural Centre’s grand hall, where 20 vaccination units have been dedicated to conduct the drive.

The vaccines will be administered by a team comprising 20 nurses, two doctors and five students from the SQU’s College of Medicine and Health Sciences.

As many as 20 scouts have volunteered to regulate traffic around the immunization hall, while 20 SQU staff members pledged to cooperate by processing the drive’s data via Tarassud+ app. Full precautionary measures are in place to tackle any emergency that might occur, with an ambulance kept ready at the entrance of the hall.

SQU Students and staff members are required to electronically book their appointments in advance. The vaccination unit at the SQU will receive applicants between 8 am and 1 pm on all days of the week, except the weekend.
