Muscat, The Pension Fund of the Ministry of Defence today appliedglobal investment performance standards (GIPS) endorsed by CFA Institute.

GIPS are international standards that are voluntarily applied by affiliate institutions. They are based on principles of full transparency and fair representation of investment performance indicators. They reflect concerted efforts to consolidate methods of measuring the performance of investment portfolios of the Defence Ministry’s Pension Fund.

As per the CFA data, the Defence Ministry’s Pension Fund, being Oman’s first retirement fund, emerges as the first such fund in the Middle East region that espouses firm criteria ofassessment ofperformance. The Pension Fund seeks to apply the highest standards of investment performance.
