Sheikh Humaid Ali Al Ma’ani, Deputy Chairman of Oman Human Rights Commission (OHRC) met here today, Ezra Zia, US Undersecretary of State for Civil Security, Democracy and Human Rights.

The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation between OHRC and US human rights organizations.

During the meeting, Sheikh Al Ma’ani gave a briefing on OHRC, prerogatives and work system.

On her turn, the US official touched on various topics related to human trafficking and labour, among others. She expressed her willingness to enhance cooperation in all matters that serve and promote human rights.

The meeting was attended by a number of officials from the Foreign Ministry, US Embassy in Muscat, and OHRC.
