Caretaker Prime Minister, Hassan Diab, condemned the bombing that took place in Sadr City in Iraq.

In a cable to Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, Premier Diab said:

Targeting security and stability in brotherly Iraq is a crime committed by conspirators against Iraq and its honourable people.

While I strongly condemn this terrorist attack, I offer you my sincere condolences for the falling of martyrs; I wish a speedy recovery for the wounded, and I assure you of Lebanon and the Lebanese people’s standing with you.
