EU Expects Commitment to Iran Nuclear Deal

The EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica

Mogherini confirmed today that the European Union is determined to

keep the nuclear agreement signed by Iran with the six world powers,

urging everyone to abide by the agreement.

“The agreement is successful and achieves its main objective,”

Mogherini said after talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif and

his counterparts from France, Germany and Britain.

The French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Laudrian said that it was

important for all parties to continue to abide by the agreement, calling

on Washington to respect the agreement as well.

For his part, the British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said that he

does not think that a better alternative has been reached so far as a

way to prevent Iranians from moving forward with military nuclear

capabilities.
