Caretaker Interior and Municipalities Minister, Mohamed Fahmy’s press office issued a statement this evening, in which it categorically denied what was reported by a certain media outlet regarding a phone call he received from Caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab, requesting to amend his position on the issue of granting permission to question the Director-General of Public Security, Major General Abbas Ibrahim.

The statement confirmed that Fahmy did not receive any communication from Caretaker PM Diab.
