Manama, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, met with Khalid bin Baijan Al Osaimi, the CEO of STC Bahrain, and Shaikh Ziad bin Faisal Al Khalifa, the Chief Government Affairs Officer at STC Bahrain.
The Minister emphasised the vital role of the telecommunications and information technology sector in Bahrain’s economic development. He highlighted the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to advancing its digital infrastructure and integrating the latest technologies and innovative solutions to support various economic sectors.
The Minister noted Bahrain’s significant achievements in telecommunications and IT through numerous programmes and initiatives aimed at meeting aspirations and achieving desired goals.
The Minister commended the efforts of telecommunications companies in supporting other vital sectors, which in turn benefits Bahrain’s economic growth. He pointed out initiatives to develop telecommunications, IT services, and digital solutions to make them more adv
anced and innovative.
The Minister reaffirmed the commitment to enhancing cooperation and partnership with the private sector to achieve these goals.
