Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa commended long standing relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom.

He noted the positive impact of historic ties on the financial and economic sectors, in particular, which bolstered joint partnership, stressing the importance of furthering bilateral relations and expanding cooperation to serve mutual interests.

The minister made the remarks as he met Baroness Joanna Penn, Treasury Lords Minister in the UK Government , in the presence of Bahrain’s Ambassador to the UK Shaikh Fawaz bint Mohammed Al Khalifa.

The meeting was also attended by Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) Governor Rasheed Mohammed Al Maraj, Economic Development Board (EDB) Chief Executive Officer Khalid Ibrahim Humaidan and Prime Minister’s Office Director-General Hamad Yacoub Al Mahameed.

During the meeting, the minister highlighted steadily-growing bilateral relations across all fields, and stressed both countries’ shared keenness on reinforcing joint economic and investment partnership to further promising opportunities.
