Foreign Minister commends Bahraini-Omani talks

Manama, The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, praised the constructive outcomes of the talks that took place between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman in further strengthening the longstanding partnership between the two brotherly countries.

The Minister added that the visit of His Majesty the Sultan of Oman to the Kingdom of Bahrain embodied the exemplary brotherhood between the leadership and peoples of the two brotherly countries, and their constant keenness to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and political, economic and social partnership through the two countries’ signing of twenty-four agreements, memoranda of understanding and an executive programme for joint cooperation.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed keenness of the government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to enhance cooperation and coordination with Oman in all fields.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs referred to the joint statement issued at the conclusion of this visit that further emphasizes the leaderships’ keenesss to continue developing cooperation in order to achieve regional and global security, peace and prosperity.

The Minister also affirmed that the visit of His Majesty the Sultan of Oman, at the head of a high-level official delegation, at the invitation of His Majesty the King, and amid a great welcome, is a new testimony to the depth of the comprehensive historical and strategic partnership and constructive cooperation for the good and interest of the two brotherly countries. He noted joint commitment to consolidating security, peace and dialogue between cultures and religions, and expanding opportunities for growth, prosperity and sustainable development for the peoples of the region and the world.
