Foreign Minister Heads to Iran

Muscat, Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, Sayyid Badr Hamad al-Busaidi, Foreign Minister left here this morning heading to the Islamic Republic of Iran to represent the Sultanate in the swearing-in ceremony of the Iranian President-elect Ebrahim Raisi.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place in Tehran this Thursday.

The Foreign Minister is accompanied by an official delegation comprising Ibrahim Ahmed al-Ma’aini, Oman’s Ambassador to Iran, Khalid Hashil al-Masalhi, Head of the Minister’s Office Department and Saud Ahmed al-Barwani, Head of the GCC Department.

Sayyid Badr was seen off by the Iranian Ambassador to the Sultanate and Head of the Protocols Department at the Foreign Ministry.
