Muscat, Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, received here today Ali Bagheri, Deputy Minister for Political Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Chief Negotiator in Iran’s nuclear file.

The two sides reviewed relations of cooperation between Oman and Iran. They also discussed several regional and international matters of common interest, particularly the developments regarding the return to the nuclear deal “Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action – JCPOA”. The meeting stressed the importance of this deal in maintaining regional security and stability.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, the Foreign Ministry’s Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs, Khalid Hashel Al Musalhi, Head of the Minister’s Office Department, some officials from the Foreign Ministry, Ali Najafi Khoshroudi, Ambassador of Iran to Oman and the delegation accompanying the Iranian guest.
