Muscat, Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister held meeting via video-conferencing with Michele Coninsx, UN Assistant Secretary-General and Executive Director of the Counter-Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED).

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.

The meeting reviewed the UN’s efforts in counter-terrorism strategies. It also highlighted the best international practices in all fields of counter-terrorism.

The meeting also explored the cooperation spheres between the Sultanate and the UN.

Michele Coninsx lauded the efforts and policies of the Sultanate in countering extremism and terrorism, as well as its constructive cooperation.
