A batch of 123 Bahrain citizens and residents has been evacuated safely due to the state of instability unfolding in the Republic of Sudan.
The evacuation follows the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Bahrain Embassy in Khartoum coordinated with other brotherly countries to transfer citizens and residents safely away from flashpoints to Port Sudan, before evacuating them to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The ministry expressed thanks and gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates fr the their cooperation to ensure the safe evacuation.
It urged all citizens and residents in the Republic of Sudan to contact the Bahrain Embassy in Khartoum and update their personal data to arrange their safe evacuation.
