“At this difficult stage, Lebanon needs more than ever a free, independent and responsible press,” said French Ambassador to Lebanon Anne Grillo, via its Twitter account, on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day.

She added: “On World Press Freedom Day, all support to the journalists who work every day, in Lebanon and other countries, to strengthen our democracies.”
