Gulf Family Day Forum Highlights Achieving Balance Between Work, Family

Tasks of a forum titled “Contemporary Gulf Family Day Forum—The Challenges and Aspirations” concluded in Salalah today. The forum coincided with Gulf Family Day, which falls on 14 September every year.

In a statement at the end of the forum, the participants underscored the status of the Gulf family and its role in shaping society.

The forum sought ways to empower the Gulf family so that it could serve as a strong component of society and a partner that keeps pace with long-term strategies, including Oman Vision 2040.

The forum also reviewed legislations to achieve balance between work and family in Oman (within the context of Oman Vision 2040), the Social Protection Law, the CEDAW agreement, Oman Labour Law and flexible work arrangements.

The closing ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr. Laila Ahmed Al Najjar, Minister of Social Development.
