Muscat, The Higher Education Admission Center (HEAC) at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation today announced vacant study programmes and dates of registration and admission for the second sorting for the academic year 2021/2022.

The registration period began today (2 November 2021) and continues until 8 November 2021. The second sorting targets all students who did not obtain study program offers previously, students who obtained a study program, but did not complete the registration, or those who completed the procedures and then withdrew from the programme.

The vacant seats were announced in the programmes of engineering and related technologies, followed by management and commercial transactions. These seats remained vacant for several reasons, most important of which is students’ failure to meet the minimum competition requirements, their failure to accept the offers they previously obtained, or their withdrawal from those offers. Therefore, the center re-announce them annually in the second sorting.

HEAC set the date of 15 November 2021 for announcing results of the second sorting for the academic year 2021/2022. As for completing the registration procedures, it will be during the period from 15-21 November 2021

The service of restoring an academic seat will be available after the second sorting stage, according to the service terms specified in the Student Guidebook. This step is considered the final registration and admission procedures for the current academic year
