Sohar, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Saidi, Minister of Health visited today Sohar Hospital in the Governorate of North Al Batinah to inspect work progress and efforts of health workers in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the visit, the Minister met a number of referrals and medical cadres working in the immunization clinics and listened to their suggestions to improve the services provided in the Hospital.

Moreover, Al-Saidi met the medical and administrative staff of the Hospital, praising them for their great efforts that have been made in dealing with the pandemic. He expressed his concern about the exhaustion of the medical staff during the recent period.

The Minister of Health was briefed on the expansion project of Sohar Hospital, which is designated to receive Covid-19 patients to relieve the pressure on the Hospital.

The expansion project in Sohar Hospital will start receiving about 30 Covid-19 patients as an initial stage during the next days.
