HH Shaikh Nasser attends local, international endurance races, qualifiers

Manama, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Honorary President of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), today attended the second endurance ride of the 2023-2024 season.

Organised by BREEF at the Bahrain International Endurance Village, the ride was attended by His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa, Vice-President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) Higher Committee, and member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.

HH Shaikh Nasser congratulated His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, from Team Victorious, on winning the 120-km local race, lauding the team’s distinguished season debut after their success in clinching the first three positions of the race.

HH Shaikh Nasser praised the levels showcased by jockeys and stables in the international, local and qualifying races, commending their efforts to achieve positive results, and wishing them every success in the upcoming championships.

Team Victorious’ jockeys HH Shaikh Isa bin Faisal, Mohammed Khalid Al Ruwaie and Salman Isa were crowned after winning the first, second and third places in the 120-km endurance race, respectively.

Team Victorious also clinched the “Best Horse Condition” prize, sponsored by Her Highness Shaikha Noora bint Hamad Al Khalifa. The prize was awarded to rider Mohammed Khalid Al Ruwaie.

On the other hand, jockey Sarhan Al Anzi, from the Al-Safinat Stables, topped the international race, while riders Nasser Khalifa and Isa Abdulla, both from N13 Stables, won the second and third places, respectively.

Team Victorious dominated the 100-km international race, following the success of riders Mohammed Khalid Darish, Hamad Ismail Al Balooshi and Dana Ahmed in clinching the first, second and third places, respectively.

Regarding the local 100-km qualifier, jockeys Abdulla Adel, Al Miqdad Mohammed and Muneera Hussain won the first three places.

Commenting, Team Victorious’ rider, HH Shaikh Isa bin Faisal, indicated that his victory would motivate him to continue his distinguished performance in the upcoming competitions.

He added that HH Shaikh Nasser’s follow-up and directives have contributed to his success in winning the first place amid fierce competition.
