His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Royal Decree (50) of 2023, restructuring the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, based on a proposal by the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and following the approval of the Cabinet.
According to the decree, the Justice Ministry was restructured as follows:
Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments shall be responsible for:
First: Directorate of Communications
Second: Directorate of Judicial Accounts
Third: Assistant Undersecretary for State Cases and International Cooperation, who shall be in charge of:
Directorate of Legislative Affairs and International Cooperation
Judicial and Legal Studies Institute
State Cases Authority (Directorate level)
Directorate of Human and Financial Resources
Directorate of Information Technology
Fourth: Undersecretary for Courts, Family Reconciliation and Alimony, followed by:
Directorate of Family Reconciliation and Alimony
Assistant Undersecretary for Courts Affairs and Enforcement, who shall oversee:
Directorate of Courts
Directorate of the Notary and Enforcement
Fifth: Undersecretary for Justice and Islamic Affairs, who shall be in charge of:
Directorate of Minors Fund
Directorate of Minors’ Affairs
Assistant Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs, who shall be responsible for:
Directorate of Religious Affairs
Directorate of the Affairs of the Holy Quran
Directorate of the Zakat Fund
Directorate of Zakat (Almsgiving) Fund
Royal Decree (49) of 2019 on restructuring the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments shall be abrogated.
The Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments shall implement the provisions of this decree, which takes effect upon its issuance, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
